Imagine that you are working on an important project and you need to make sure that all your project files stored in a certain folder on the hard disk are in best condition. For this, it's not enough just to look at the files and test their size, as this information is sometimes irrelevant. A much better solution for checking the integrity of the files stored in a certain folder is to use the Check5 application, a specialized Windows software which can automatically monitor the files stored in a certain folder on the hard disk, but also includes some other features.

After the program has been installed and launched, the user first needs to import the desired folder into the program's interface. After doing so, Check5 will start analyzing all the files located inside the added folder and will display various information about each of them, like the file name, MD5 hash code, the last modified date, file attribute and so on. This information can help you determine whether the file has been modified or not.

Besides monitoring folders, Check5 can also change the name of multiple files at the same time, using a batch mode. For this, the user will just need to select the desired files and configure the renaming process. There are numerous configuration possibilities for renaming files. What's more, Check5 allows you to modify the attributes of multiple files at the same time, allowing you to make files read-only, hidden and so on.
